Day 2 Of Ancillary Production : ANCILLARY PRODUCTION

For the Inside panel I yet again began in photoshop. Using the colour balance tool to get the same tinted red effect from my front panel, this was mainly done for continuity in the colour scheme.

I cropped the image to fit inline with the size of the inside panel. I focussed on having the artist on one side with the fountain on the other. The effect of one image running through both sides works extremely well and it looks artistic.

The spine was added to distinguish where the image would be folded in terms of a Digipak being folding in half.

Now it was time to design the CD holding part of the inside panel. To begin with i created a circle within the picture and added a shadow effect. This was the foundation of the holder.

Adding colour created the CD and the shadow used from before creates a 3D looking effect, giving it a tangible look, as you go take it out.

I didn't want the CD to look bland and entirely simple, so i added the artists name and the name of the album in faded form so that it was barely visible.

The last thing was to add the artists name and album name in final form, again i kept the font the same as its simplicity is its real beauty.
